Lyles is from Lake Charles and is a graduate of the Louisiana School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He also earned a general banking diploma from the American Institute of Banking and completed the Louisiana Banking School for Supervisory Training at the University of Louisiana. Lyles has over 35 years of experience in the Southwest Louisiana banking industry, working in a variety of positions, including branch manager, personal lending officer, commercial lender, regional manager and senior vice president. 

He served as Vice-Chair for the St. Margaret Catholic Church Pastoral Council, Treasurer for the American Heart Association - Southwest Louisiana Region and Treasurer for Dubuis Health Systems.  He is a member of Ducks Unlimited  and Delta Waterfowl.

Lyles joined Lakeside in 2012.
